About us

Our Mission

Prayer Baptist Church exists to glorify God through worship, discipleship, and service. We are committed to teaching the whole counsel of God's Word and equipping believers to live faithfully for Christ. As an Independent Baptist church, we hold to historic Baptist principles while maintaining autonomy under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to see lives transformed by the gospel and communities impacted by biblical truth.

Our Churches Beliefs

Discover who we are, what we believe, and what you can expect When You visit Prayer Baptist Church.

God the Father

We believe in one eternal, all-powerful, and loving God, the Creator of all things visible and invisible, who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Genesis 1:1, John 3:16, Deuteronomy 6:4

Jesus Christ, Son of God

We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, fully divine and fully human, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead.
John 1:1-14, Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Philippians 2:5-11

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity, who indwells every believer, convicts of sin, regenerates, guides, comforts, and empowers for service, gifting believers for the building up of the church.
John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

The Holy Bible

We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, serving as the ultimate and final guide for faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 119:105

The Church

We believe in the church as the spiritual body of Christ, composed of all true believers, called to worship God, fellowship with one another, make disciples, and spread the Gospel to all nations.
Matthew 16:18, Ephesians 4:11-16, Acts 2:42-47

Salvation by Grace

We believe that salvation is a free gift from God, received through personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, not by human works or merit. It results in forgiveness of sins, justification, and eternal life.
Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16

Baptism and Communion

We believe in water baptism by immersion as an outward symbol of an inward spiritual transformation and identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. We also observe Holy Communion as a sacred remembrance of Christ's sacrifice and a proclamation of His return.
Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-4, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ to earth to establish His eternal kingdom, judge the living and the dead, and bring about the final consummation of God's redemptive plan.
